THE HERO & THE VICTOR (THATV) is an American post Punk/Indie/Rock band out of Santa Barbara, California formed in 2001. We have been making unique music, which we can only describe as honest, expressive, no-rules rock. The name THATV came from a book about Salvador Dali’s paintings; we took the phrase as a reflection about how one should address the moral dilemma between doing what is right versus just getting ahead. One could strive to be both the Hero and the Victor. For over almost nine years, we have played to audiences most accepting, some puzzled but all fun. The Hero and the Victor have been expanding slowly all over California and even a tour of Japan. Over the years we have put out 1 EP and 2 LPs. We are currently working on our 3rd and we hope to see you soon.
